My Sugarbugger!

Ok, now it's my sugarbuggers turn. I know it's kind of a weird nickname. Not to sure how it started. Mitch calls him Ga-Ga! We use that too!

I can't believe that in 5 1/2 weeks he will be 1 year old!!! Time flies by WAY to fast!! I'm still trying to decide how and where to have his party. I have like 70 family members and friends that I want to invite! CRAZY!! Everything is so expensive these days!! If you have any ideas, feel free to tell!!:)

Jake is being kind of stubborn when it comes to crawling. He just doesn't want to do it! Maybe I shouldn't say doesn't want to, but just has no desire to try. Somebody asked if Mitch takes everything to him. I thought you know, maybe that's why he doesn't feel the need to move, especially if everything is always brought to him. Good thought!

Jake and Mitch get along pretty well these days. Jake isn't afraid to pull back when Mitch tries to take his toys. I think that could pose a problem in a few years:)! They really are great together. Mitch tries to be his dad sometimes though. When we are in the car and Jake is crying Mitch will say "NO Ga-Ga"! It's quite humorous! Or he says "what wrong ga-ga?", "kay ga-ga?" which means are you okay?

Jake is a MONSTER when it comes to food. I don't know where the kid puts all the food he eats. A typical breakfast for him is 2 pancakes, or a pack of instant oatmeal and a whole banana!! That's insane!! He'll out eat his brother any day of the week. If I recall though, I think Mitch was the same way when he was this young. He has definitely slowed down now though!

Jake is being medicated for an ear infection right now. He had a pretty miserable week. Getting better though.

There's really not too much more going on with Jake. Just trying to get him moving in some way shape or form.

I'll end saying this... When I had Mitch he was such a good baby. People said your so lucky, but... wait till the next one. I thought there's no way God will bless me twice with two good babies. That's what I get for limiting God, because Jake is such an amazing, happy little boy. I think maybe even better than Mitch, if that's possible. I'm talking like babywise, please don't take that the wrong way. Mitch is still an awesome kid!! I love them both very much!!

I pray that Mike and I will be able to raise our children up to know that they are loved by us and to also have a personal relationship with their Godly Father in Heaven!

Mitch Man

I'm thinking we have a future goalie?? We are hoping he follows in his daddy's footsteps!

We have been very busy since my last posting. Now I'm going to update on what Mitch is doing or likes doing:)!

Mitch enjoys going to library time with his friends and I have a bible study that he goes to with me and he sees his friends there too! He looks forward to days with them.

He is smack dab in the middle of the "terrible twos" I hope!!:) He is into everything and anything. Tonight Mike had to "discipline" him for writing on our bathroom door with Mommy's colored pencils. OOPS! I try so hard to keep stuff like put away, but I swear he can read my mind to find out where they are! I'm amazed at how he reaches things that I think are out of reach. Climbing on the toliet and playing with the water in the sink is a daily activity for us too.

He loves for mommy to do his hair. He'll go get the squirt bottle and gel for me to give him a spike:)! He's so cute. He recently started eating cereal for breakfast and he now wants it morning, noon and night. It sounds like he's saying cheetos, but he really means cereal! He LOVES to color and is actually very good at it!! He is definitely left-handed. Oma and Papa will have to help us out with that one because Mike & I are right handed.

He loves pizza and cheeseburgers:) He'll wake up in the morning and say,"cheeseburgers momma"! We can be driving in the car and see a pizza ad on a billboard and he"ll say "PIZZA"!! The weird thing is, is that he doesn't eat pizza very often!! Who knows! ?

We have taken him up to Lifetime with us to go swimming and he is becoming more comfortable in the water which is good for us. We are planning a trip to Castaway Bay by Cedar Point and are hoping he'll love it! It's a huge indoor water park! YEAH!!

He is really into watching a movie when he wakes up, yes I know that's a bad habit, you live and you learn!:) He loves to watch Nemo, "Bobots" (Really Robots:)), Elmo and the Letter Factory.

He can count to 10 with a little help and is learning the sounds letters make. He's good with colors to. I'm amazed daily at what this kid already knows! He loves to sing songs especially,"if you're happy and you know it."

Honestly it's something new everyday, I could go on and on. He truly is a blessing in my life and I love him to pieces!! Love you Mitch!

God is Great!!

During this Holiday season we had the opportunity to help provide a Christmas for a teenager from a group home in Detroit. I received his name and his "wish list" and excitedly began shopping for him. My husband and I decided that in order to do this we might have to sacrifice buying gifts for ourselves and I was more than willing to do this. While this was in the works another opportunity to help others in need arose. We have a friend that we go to church with who works at the childrens hosipital in Detroit. For the past 5 years, I think at least, she has gathered money that people have donated to buy presents for the children and Santa delievers them on Christmas Eve night. This year we were able to provide 46 children with a full Christmas!! Praise God!!! He is Wonderful!! I was able to go shopping with many others to make sure that each child got exactly what they asked for. I am amazed that this even happened this year. You see, because we had adopted the group home in Detroit we were unsure if we would have the funds to provide enough for the hospital. Someone who we have no clue how they knew about us, called a lady in our church and said they heard we have Christmas for the children in the hospital and that he would like to make a donation. My friend received a check for $2000.00!!!! We have no clue who he is! Another donor who usually contributes said, I can't be beat and with another check for $2,100.00 we were able to provide 46 children with nice gifts! How amazing is our God, that he brought these two men to us. It blows me away when I think about it!! Thank you God!! Christmas Eve was a busy one for us this year. At 8:30am we drove to the group home in Detroit where we had prepared a full breakfast for all of the teenagers. These were teen boys who were neglected or abuse by their parents. The thought of it just kills me. When I arrived I found out that the boy I bought for was no longer there. He had tried to commit suicide and was taken to a phychriatic hospital where he was under strict watch. I will tell you that I was devestated!! I cried. How sad that this 15 year old thought his life wasn't worth living for. I had to dry it up and put on a happy face. My friend did her best to put us with someone suitable for the gifts that we had purchased. After switching boys like 4 times we ended up with the perfect match. I had put ribbons and bows on each gift and he wanted to save every bow!!!! He took his time opening every gift and thoroughly loved each one. He was quite a small kid and the clothes we bought we definitely not his size, but with each reaction he would say,"it's my size"!! Here is a kid who has nothing and is appreciating every single gift even if it wasn't a perfect match or his size. He was such a joy. The point I want to make with this visit is that God knew when I bought those gifts that my boy would not be there. He matched us up with the one kid He knew would appreciate every bow on every gift. I was one of the few who even put bows and labels on the gifts. God knew!! AWESOME!! I was quite drained when we left but I had a lot more to do that day. That evening my husband took my boys to his family for Christmas. I was blessed with the opportunity to go to the childrens hospital to distribute the toys to the children with Santa. I will tell you that this is an experience that I will NEVER forget! The first room we walked into was a 3 year old boy and his mother just sat and cried. I don't think they had any clue what to expect. It was unbelivable to see their faces when Santa walked in. Again and again this is what we experienced in every room. There were a few rooms that we went into where there were no parents or visitors and it broke my heart into a million pieces. It was Christmas Eve and they were all alone. Many of them even too young to speak. If I could have taken one home that night, I would have. It was this day of completely serving others that I realized how thankful I should be! God has been so good to my family. My children are healthy and free from any of these problems those children faced. Praise God Almighty! I don't know how I could do it each day, but trust in the LORD. Mike and I have been blessed beyond belief and I am so much more aware of it since this day! Thank You Jesus!! We both have amazing parents and I am so thankful for their love and support! To you I say thank you!

Bowling 2005

This year for Christmas my dads side of the family decided to go out to a nice dinner and go bowling in lieu of gifts. It was a fabulous idea and we had a blast. I haven't bowled in I don't know how long so that is always interesting!:) This was Mitchel & Jacob's first time to the bowling alley. Of course for obvious reasons Jacob was unable to participate:)! Mitch on the other hand was a pro!:) This is a picture of him wearing the classic bowling shoes! How stinking cute is he!! My mother seemed to do the best job of helping Mitchel get the ball down the alley. I think he knocked down 8 or 9 pins on his first frame! After a while, Mitch got a little bored. So we busted out his new Mr. & Mrs. & Baby Potato Heads! Very entertaining.

Mitchel's 2nd Birthday

I know, I know it has been way to long since my last post. It has been an extremely busy few months. Our internet has been on the spaz for quite some time now and I really need to call comcast and complain, just haven't had time!:) After a little bit of harassing from more than one peep I have decided to finally update my page.

My first born turned 2 YEARS OLD on Dec. 26th!! I can't believe how time flies. He absolutely means the world to me. I thank God daily for the blessing he is in my life. I love him to pieces. We had a fabulous party at Chuck E Cheeses, which he thoroughly enjoyed with ALL of his friends and family! We had over 50 people there!! It was crazy, but a blast! We are so lucky to have the family and friends that we do, again we have been blessed!!

Ok, so I have a lot more pictures to post, but for some reason it is taking a lifetime to upload one picture! I'm kind of frustrated. I will attempt to post more at a later time, but soon I PROMISE!:) Have a blessed day!

Boys

Here's a few new pictures that I have taken recently.

Mike looks like hot stuff in that picture eh?? He did a real good job!!

Look at Jakes two teefers!!! He's growing so quickly right before our eyes. I told Mike today that we are going to have to take him out of his infant car seat very soon and he said "no way!" He wants him to stay little for just a tad bit longer. I have to say that I agree. Time sure does fly! Before we know it, he'll be running around after Mitch!! We have such fun times ahead!!

Silly Mitchel!!

Ok, so let me set the scene. I was unloading the dryer, taking the clothes to the living room to fold the clothes. As I was doing this I could feel Mitchel intertwined in my legs. When I returned to the laundry room ( which by the way is extremely small) I couldn't find Mitchel. I thought to myself, now I can't be that blind, he would have had to walk right past me if he had left the room. I then thought well, he is pretty sneaky. I proceeded to put the clothes from the washer into the dryer then BAM the dryer door swang open and all I heard was chuckles!!! When I took the clothes out I had left the door open and he climbed into the dryer all by himself with the help of a heap of towels and pretty much shut the door as far as he could. I have never laughed so hard!! I am amazed daily by his actions!! He truly is a joy!! We laughed together and of course I snapped a few pictures! Hope you enjoy!
